Xplosion vbc team meeting coming up next week

Your club coach has been organizing a team meeting.  At the team meeting plan on going over:

 1. Player contracts--Each player will sign a code of conduct contract and general "be respectful" type of contract.

2. Parent contract--Similar to the player contract but also includes the obligation to pay the club dues for your child.  We need at least one parent rep at the meeting.  Please make plans to go to the team meeting b/c the make-up meeting will not be nearly as personal or give your daughter a chance to begin getting to know her teammates. The make up meeting will be around Dec 7th to 11th TBA.

3. Collection of first club dues payment--There are four scheduled payments (Dec/Jan/Feb/March)starting in December.  Each time you pay 25% of the dues or you can pay an additional amount if it works better for your family to pay more at once.  My advice to the parents is to give the dues to coach James as the first option, and your club coach as a second option if coach James cannot attend the team meeting.  It might keep things simple to just seal a check or cash in a white envelope and put your daughters name on the envelope to give to the coach at the meeting.  The coach will then turn in the dues to coach James within the next few days after the meeting.  Parents should have the option of paying by credit card in the future.  Maybe by the first meeting.  For now though plan on paying with a check or cash unless told by coach James otherwise.

4. We will collect your daughter's schedule of availability for practices this spring (January 4th to April 30th).  Please bring a copy we can have and if possible copy your club coach in an email. This schedule should include any weekends you have something planned like another sporting event or important activity, as well as commitments you have in the evening during the week. It's tough to plan practice times without knowing when the team can practice.  Practice times and dates will not be released at this team meeting b/c we don't have your schedules yet.

Commit to Another Club or to Xplosion? Here's Your Options With Xplosion VBC

Are you trying to make a decision to join Xplosion or take a position with a different club?
I encourage you to look at your options with Xploison.

Worst case scenario--example:  Your daughter joins Xplosion vbc.  In her age group there's 23 girls.  18 of those girls are placed on a competitive traveling team.  Your daughter is one of five girls who is not on one of these teams.  If we cannot find another few girls from a different age group to form a team with these five girls, then your daughter joins the training program.  From there she gets excellent training and can pool together with other girls from our other teams who want extra tournaments.  Then this team pooled together travels and competes in a tourney.  In this scenario the club will provide the training your daughter needs and find other players who want extra tourneys and will make a team for a handful of tourneys.

Any other scenario:  Your daughter joins a competitive club, gets college prep training, engages in a challenging practice system, and enjoys the experience. If your daughter is in high school she can take part in our recruiting services and create a bio, skills, video, etc... and save you anywhere from $250-$1000 just by using our free services instead of paying for it with a professional recruiting service.

Research Xplosion and our vision and make sure we are the right club for you.  If your daughter is not competitive then this is not the right club for her.  Our challenging practices will be too much for a young lady who is not willing to work hard during each practice and compete in practices.

Ages 9 to 12 program

Xplosion volleyball club will offer a program for ages 9 to 12 years of age.  In this program your daughter can expect great training within the club. Our vision is that all of our teams are competitive teams.  We can begin to teach your daughter that participation in volleyball is fun, but succeeding and putting forth real effort is even better.

Please visit the article titled "Dues, Gear, etc" to learn more about the cost of the club and the clothing and gear you get with the dues.

Xplosion vbc ages 9 to 12 teams

1. Learn about our club, our vision, and the director coach James.  If everything goes well for your team hopefully they will grow in this club and now is a great time to understand what type of training your daughter will get as she gets older.
2. Sign up.  This group does not have tryouts.  This group can sign up anytime up until Nov 17th.  On Nov 17th we form teams from this group and by the team meeting in the first week of December have a good idea of the travel/competition schedule.
3. If you want to attend the Nov 7th tryout at "The Courts" please do so.  If we have enough open court space your daughter can get a workout in with one of our coaches.
