Your club coach has been organizing a team meeting. At the team meeting plan on going over:
1. Player contracts--Each player will sign a code of conduct contract and general "be respectful" type of contract.
2. Parent contract--Similar to the player contract but also includes the obligation to pay the club dues for your child. We need at least one parent rep at the meeting. Please make plans to go to the team meeting b/c the make-up meeting will not be nearly as personal or give your daughter a chance to begin getting to know her teammates. The make up meeting will be around Dec 7th to 11th TBA.
3. Collection of first club dues payment--There are four scheduled payments (Dec/Jan/Feb/March)starting in December. Each time you pay 25% of the dues or you can pay an additional amount if it works better for your family to pay more at once. My advice to the parents is to give the dues to coach James as the first option, and your club coach as a second option if coach James cannot attend the team meeting. It might keep things simple to just seal a check or cash in a white envelope and put your daughters name on the envelope to give to the coach at the meeting. The coach will then turn in the dues to coach James within the next few days after the meeting. Parents should have the option of paying by credit card in the future. Maybe by the first meeting. For now though plan on paying with a check or cash unless told by coach James otherwise.
4. We will collect your daughter's schedule of availability for practices this spring (January 4th to April 30th). Please bring a copy we can have and if possible copy your club coach in an email. This schedule should include any weekends you have something planned like another sporting event or important activity, as well as commitments you have in the evening during the week. It's tough to plan practice times without knowing when the team can practice. Practice times and dates will not be released at this team meeting b/c we don't have your schedules yet.
